From the Library

In this section, we'll be collecting various and sundry things that visitors may want to read, for one reason or another—from my very first published short story (and in time, others) to articles and essays I've written over the years to interviews that go a little further than the usual "Please promote your next project" fare.

Eventually, I hope to get some comics stories and previews in here as well, but for now I'm feeling my way along in the dark just with text.

It'll be an oddball assortment of material, I expect. But if nothing else, I'll finally be able to answer all those "How do I break in as a comics writer?" questions with just a link to an article...

At the special request of Richard Starkings, Comicraft's President & First Tiger, I'm linking to a three-part interview Marv Wolfman did with me back in 2002. It's a good interview, and was fun to do—Marv asks pretty darn good questions, as might be expected from someone who's had that much experience as a reader, writer and editor.

This is the first short story I ever sold. It originally appeared in 1991, in Newer York, an anthology of SF stories about New York City, edited by Lawrence Watt-Evans.
